Stair Treads, Non-Skid Peel & Stick with Photoluminescent Surface

These high performance photoluminescent stair treads employ a no slip material that glow in the dark to be more visible in low light situations, glowing for up to 8 hours, and are backed by a long-lasting, pressure-sensitive adhesive film compatible with smooth finish surfaces.. The glowing surface adds to the safety of stairwells that may become dark in the event of a power outage, or may be used to increase the visibility of steps on recreational vehicles and boats, reducing the risk of accidents and injury. The safety-grade photoluminescent materials make these non-skid stair treads much easier to see than traditional, all black stair treads in low light conditions.

Photoluminescent Stair Treads as Part of a Low Level Exit Path Marking System
Low Level Exit Path Markings (LLEPM) are a relatively new type of Life Safety Improvement and consist of a mix of exit path markings at traditional heights and other markings located near the floor where they wouldn’t be hidden by a layer of dense smoke descending from the ceiling and where they could be seen by someone crawling along the floor. They can provide life-saving exit guidance to all residents, employees and tenants during an emergency evacuation.

Charging the Photoluminescent Stair Treads
Our safety-grade photoluminescent, or glow in the dark, materials are inert, waterproof, non-toxic, non-radioactive and can be charged over and over again. A full charge of 8 or more hours of luminance on AfterGlow® photoluminescent materials is achieved by exposing the photoluminescent material to:

3-4 minutes of ultraviolet (black) light, or
7-8 minutes of direct sunlight, or
21-23 minutes of fluorescent light, or
24-26 minutes of incandescent light.
